Have you ever dreamed of turning our planet into a nicer and more sustainable place to live in? Now you have a great chance to make it happen!

Come, pitch your idea, form a team and make a change!

Startup Weekend Helsinki: Sustainability & Bioeconomy is an event where multidisciplinary teams openly co-develop business ideas and solutions for products and services of the future sustainability & bioeconomy fields. All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekend ends with participants presenting the developed product or service prototypes, viable business models or other solutions to local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

During the weekend YOU WILL:

-          Have a great chance to network and meet new people with similar interests as yours

-          Get coaching from the experienced entrepreneurs and industry professionals

-          Not need to bother about meals and other practicalities, just have your laptop

-          Have fun, we promise that! And the winners will be awarded!

The event takes place on May 9-11, 2014 at the TAF’s Millennium Pavilion, Kansalaistori Square, Eero Erkon Katu, Helsinki.
